He serves as a Deputy Director of the Academic Committee and holds the title of Henan Province High-Level Talent (Class C). His research focuses on computer vision, image processing, and artificial intelligence. He has published numerous academic papers as the first or corresponding author in journals such as Knowledge-Based Systems and Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence. Professor Zhang has led major research projects including the National Key R&D Program "Public Safety Risk Prevention and Emergency Technology Equipment" and the Henan Provincial Key R&D Special Project on "Gas Pipeline Safety Operation Monitoring."
